4th of July at Home
Zoe last minute wanted to do fireworks, Caroline was ready for bed and Sloan wasn’t terribly enthusiastic about the loudness but she watched mama and Zina set off fireworks in the driveway!

My babies
Just a Sunday! But every day is special with my girls!
-
More gardening!
Zoe has been working hard out planting and gardening, I got quality time with the new Gilman and I think she’s finally coming around to liking me!
-
Easter Weekend
Did more gardening, got some more baby chickens, started work in the new coop/run, and visited with Oma and Mary and Joe for an Easter Egg hunt!
-
Gardening
Zoe wanted to get a little more gardening done today and she had more help from Landscaping expert Sloan than I think she knew what to do with. I was in charge of making sure the lawn chair didn’t fly off the face of the earth and keeping Caroline alive, I was successful!
-
Dusk
Had to go run an errand and someone was happy to see me!
-
Early morning picnic in the yard!
It was a nice day out and Sloan wanted some time outside, aired up the lawnmower tire and made a circuit around the yard and ate some leftover Trash Panda and enjoyed the yard with our girls and chickens!

RSV
So Caroline and all of us contracted RSV somehow and Caroline being a little over a week and a half old ended up with an ER visit then hospitalized. I stayed home with Sloan to take care of her while we were both sick, Zoe had a hell of a week with Caroline in the hospital. Thankfully Caroline rallied and got better super quick and we are grateful to have her back home and healthy!

Meltageddon 2026
Mama made noodles and we shared them and watched television listening to the roof drip and refreeze!

Snowmageddon 2026
It’s a bit nippy outside… it’s currently 10:00AM and 26F outside, I believe someone forgot to tell this storm that we don’t like ice here. Granted this does my native Virginian heart proud. I do miss having actual seasons, and not just hot and extra hot. Granted yesterday I spent a good part of the day testing the genny, getting gas for it, getting the chicken coop covered a bit more than it was, and of course… entertaining my first…

My Supervisor
She’s showing me how to set up this new tripod! I would say she’s my helper like my dad used to do with me, but no, she’s definitely my supervisor.
